THE INTERNATIONAL MINI MEETING This is an event, where the German MINI Clubs meet once a year - usually on the German Witsun weekend - to exchange news, thoughts and ideas. Initially designed to give Mini clubs and drivers the opportunity to meet and get to know each other, as well as invite clubs from other countries, it has become one of the largest and permanent events in the MINI-scene. Although, in the beginning, there were only about 20 Mini Clubs in Germany, the numbers rose permanently and by 1986 there were over 70 German clubs and more than 800 cars at the Meeting. Basically, it has been in Germany every second year and in a "guest country" every other. Only the big MINI Birthday celebrations (every 5 years) are left to English clubs. |
